The Rev. Alex Hendrickson, College chaplain, gives the following update:
The Lafayette Pard Pantry is an initiative that the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life has collaborated on with amazing Student Government students to provide for material goods our on-campus scholars need during this time of remote learning.
As of right now, we have distributed almost all of the items donated since mid-March. This includes many dozens of items purchased directly and nearly $2,300 worth of goods purchased with donated gift cards. Over 100 of you have helped out in big and small ways. The students and I are very grateful. The Communications Division posted a story when we began this program.
THANK YOU for supporting our students. These donations are the primary way many of them are getting toothbrushes, shampoo, and other necessary hygiene products. And, as these are all consumables, most of these items need to be replenished regularly.
Are you able to help? If not, I completely understand. Our community has been so generous already. If so, the two main ways I stock the Pantry are with in-kind, donated items and with gift cards.

If you’d like to purchase items and drop them off on my front porch on College Hill, we are looking for:
We don’t currently have the ability to refrigerate donations, so please purchase non-perishables only.
Gift cards
If you’d like to send me a gift card, Amazon is most convenient. You can email the gift card to me.
Please email, call, or text me (484-894-9279) to ask questions or to make arrangements to drop off items.
Thank you for all you do to support our community!
