Volunteers and partners will deliver 5,000 pounds of farm-fresh apples over eight weeks to thank the Lehigh Valley’s frontline workers, caregivers, and seniors.
Deliveries will start this week, with the first baskets of apples earmarked for St. Luke’s Hospital-Easton campus. Community members also can purchase “You’re the Apple of My Eye” quarts for $3 each to deliver on their own to essential workers, teachers, and first responders to show their thanks. A new apple variety will be featured each week.
Apples can be purchased from the Highmark Farmstand at Easton Public Market or ordered online for curbside pickup. Participants are encouraged to share the treats they deliver to community members on social media by using the hashtags #appleofmyeye #awesometothecore and #bushelofthanks.
Easton Public Market will share apple recipes, and Easton restaurants will serve up apple dishes as part of the campaign, which is a partnership of Easton Public Market, Scholl Orchards, and Highmark.

Scholl Orchards is a wonderful local, 4th generation family owned/operated business, and provides excellent produce and apples and apple cider! It so good to see everyone working together in support of our community.
