Lafayette’s class deans—Brandon Morris (first-year dean), Chris Selena (sophomore dean), and Tim Cox (junior and senior dean)—are the backbone of student support in the Office of Advising. The expertise and services they provide in helping students stay (or get back) on track towards their degree completion, or helping them access the many resources on campus, or being another source of helpful advice and guidance on many levels are of utmost importance to our College’s mission. They help students navigate the college environment and assist them in connecting with their instructors in the most beneficial ways. I view the class deans as changemakers and also as “connectors” in the sense that Malcolm Gladwell describes in his book The Tipping Point. Their dedication and professionalism are incredibly appreciated! —Mike Olin, dean of academic advising and co-curricular programs
