Lynne Murray, manager of admissions operations and technology, is an unsung hero of the Admissions Office. While a significant part of recruitment is outward facing, with campus tours back on the schedule, recruitment also takes place behind the scenes, with thousands of prospects and applicants vying for a spot in the entering class. That takes place in admissions operations and Slate, the recruitment database. Lynne has mastered the intricacies of Slate and implemented a top-notch system that eventually migrates into Banner (with a tip of the hat to Sue Burns). Lynne is a trouble-shooter, problem-solver, process-planner, and alliance-builder. She has developed processes that allow all the admissions paperwork (applications, transcripts, test scores, reports, etc.) to be streamlined and efficient. Lynne works with external clients such as Common App and College Board, and internal clients such as Financial Aid and IT, to keep the flow of data accurate and efficient. Lynne is also a very generous person, especially with her time. Thanks for all you do, Lynne, to keep admissions operations humming!
