Unsung heroes: Melissa Starace and Leslie Muhlfelder

Melissa (left) and Leslie are truly unsung heroes who play enormous roles in so many of the behind-the-scenes mechanics and success of our institution. They are extremely dedicated to the College, its people, and its success. I cannot imagine how many impromptu consultations they must receive from across campus, or imagine the amount of feedback and opinions that they must encounter every day because of the volume and breadth of their positions’ involvement. Yet, despite what must be extremely long days and ever-changing to-do lists, they steadfastly persevere through challenges with kindness, empathy, and dignity. I do not think that it is hyperbole to say that we have all been benefactors of their work in some way or another.
