In honor of 50 years of coeducation at Lafayette, the campus community is invited to join a special virtual event celebrating four amazing women in the Lafayette community on Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. These women, each accomplished in her own way, are united by a common thread: They all share a passion for textiles that has fueled their personal and professional accomplishments.
Through their stories, these exceptional Lafayette women touch on issues of personal identity, art, entrepreneurship, social justice, professional growth, fashion, history, and so much more. This event certainly isn’t only for those who have a passion for fabric.
Panelists include Professor Chawne Kimber, head of the Math Department and innovative textile artist; Terese Brown ’07, fashion designer and entrepreneur; Ellen Kravet Burke ’76, executive VP of home furnishings company Kravet Inc.; and Liza Lucy ’74, author and professional quiltmaker. We hope you will join us for this exciting conversation.
