Through conversations with recent alumni and the Student Life Committee, several improvements have been to the Pepper Prize process for 2021. These include greater student/faculty/staff balance for the finalist cohort selection committee, additional information from the selection committee describing the factors considered in composing the group of finalists, more flexibility in the personal statement, and more formal recognition of the Pepper Prize finalist cohort around Commencement. Nominations close on Thursday at midnight. Any member of the Lafayette community can nominate a senior for this prestigious award. All voting faculty, full-time administrators, and the student body will be invited soon to vote for the final recipient of the Pepper Prize.
