Every semester, the team of writing associates prepares for hundreds of meetings with students to collaborate on how to grow as writers. Behind the dedication and expertise of every WA is the boundless energy and enthusiasm of Christian Tatu, coordinator of the College Writing Program. Other than his prodigious knowledge of and experience in pedagogical techniques, Dr. Tatu creates spaces for critical conversations and contributes a warmth that makes Pardee 319 a special place. He has supported students’ efforts to place social justice as a focus of CWP and has impacted a generation of WAs (and, by extension, the whole student body) with his vision of what it means to teach writing across disciplines. —Stefano Mancini ’22
