Ramirez is an award-winning scientist and science communicator who has been a researcher at Bell Labs and a faculty member in mechanical engineering at Yale. She is the author of the award-winning book The Alchemy of Us: How Humans and Matter Transformed One Another and hosts the Science Underground pocast.
