The award-winning Lafayette Speech and Debate team (also known as Forensics) is hosting a tournament on our campus on Oct. 8 – 9.
Judges are necessary to operate the tournament. Each round of student performances is observed and ranked by a judge. The competitors will be involved in events like Drama, Poetry, Impromptu, and Persuasion. Guaranteed: the student performances will be astonishing.
We need your help! Ideally, we would have someone judge two or three rounds, or even the full day (each round is a little over an hour). However, if you are available, a single round would be a huge help too! No one should worry if they do not have any experience. Scott Placke, the team’s director, will provide informational packets and training sessions.
