LaTasha Barnes presents “The Jazz Continuum” Oct. 19 at the Williams Center

The New York Times called LaTasha Barnes’ “The Jazz Continuum” a “joyous and riveting hour.” The show centers the prolific artistry of Jazz music and dance as a cornerstone of Black American culture and community. Barnes reaches back 100 years, making visible the connections between the past to today’s Black music and dance expressions. “Barnes is especially extraordinary for the way the past and the present can pass through her.” Watch it 8 p.m. Wed.
