Eric Ziolkowski, Helen H.P. Manson Professor of Bible, Department of Religious Studies will moderate a panel discussion of Jim Thorpe’s life and legacy during an Oct. 29 event at the Sigal Museum, as part of the Easton Book Festival. The discussion will center on this year’s bestselling David Maraniss biography, Path Lit by Lightning.

Panelist and Easton resident (as well as Jim Thorpe native) Kayley Hoffman was the book’s Simon and Schuster production editor. Panelist Robert Thurston is a Professor Emeritus of History at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Panelist Daniel M. Cobb is a Professor of American Studies at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Sandra Cianciulli is an American Indian rights advocate and President of the Carlisle Indian School Project
