In 2022, President and CEO of Levi Strauss & Co. Chip Bergh, ’79 H’22 and his wife, Juliet, contributed a $5.25 million gift to Lafayette to support internships, global engagement, and research experiences for 1,000 students across the next five years (200 students per year).
The Gateway Career Center is one of three College offices identified to administer those funds, and for summer 2023, they are launching the Bergh Family Fellows (BFF) Intern Scholar Program. This $5,000 stipend is open to students of any major or area of study, and students do not need to have an internship secured to apply for the BFF Intern Scholar Stipend.
Students can attend an information session to learn more about the Bergh Family Fellowship and stipend program.
The application is open now through March 20, 2023. Students can learn more about application requirements and process at Gateway’s website.
