Mary Toulouse, director of Lafayette’s Languages and Literary Studies Resource Center represented Lafayette College and the Lafayette Friendship Partnership (PALS) program at the Francophone Heritage Speakers “Fete de fin d’année” ceremony for Francophone high school students held at the French Consulate in June.
Although the Lafayette PAL mentors had already gone home for the summer, Toulouse was able to attend and share letters and congratulations provided by Lafayette mentors. The event was featured on international channel TV5. One French-speaking Senegalese student, Elhadj Mamadou Bah, who was mentored by PAL fellow Riley Dowd ’22, will be attending Franklin and Marshall next fall. Congratulations to all Lafayette PALS for their role in this important outreach initiative.
