The Lafayette College Institutional Review Board (IRB) is responsible for ensuring that research on people conducted by Lafayette faculty, staff, and students is in compliance with federal regulations for protecting the safety of research participants.
An open information and Q&A session will be held 12-1 p.m. Mon., Oct. 16, in Oechsle Hall Room 224. Mary Ellen Jackson, director of sponsored research and member of IRB, and IRB Chair Michael Nees will provide an overview of the types of projects that need IRB review, as well as the IRB submission, review, approval, and oversight process.
Those who are planning research projects with human participants are especially encouraged to attend. Pizza will be provided, courtesy of the Provost’s office.
