The Lafayette community is welcome to join in the first “Las Posadas” night. It will be held 6:30 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 7, beginning in Kirby 104 and ending with refreshments at the President’s house.
Faculty members in the Language and Literary Studies department will give a short presentation about the history and significance of Las Posadas, we will learn some Spanish-language holiday songs, and then we will carol to a few different locations around campus. Join us in this special Latin American tradition, which will end with cocoa and dessert at President Hurd’s house.
The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, the Department of Languages and Literary Studies, the President’s Office, and the Hispanic Society of Lafayette are excited to see you then!
