Next week to close out Earth Month, Lafayette will be welcoming Clementina Martinez-Masarweh, founder of DNA Sustainable Threds, to deliver a keynote address. Clementina “The Sustainable Latina” Martínez-Masarweh, is a boundary-breaking artist captivating audiences on fashion runways and art galleries, with her transformative work on textile waste, plastic pollution, and environmental justice.
Clementina will be conducting an Upcycling workshop turning old jeans into aprons and exploring microplastics under a microscope at 4 p.m. Tues., April 30, in the Dyer Center (Registration required). Following, she will give her keynote address in the Marlo Room at 7:30 p.m. Tues., April 30.
