Move-in guide 2024: Meal plans, textbooks, Tech Guide, and more tips to help you settle in

Moving In

• Getting settled: All students and families must arrive on campus at their scheduled time for move-in. Check in at the Wilson Room in Pfenning Alumni Center before heading to your residence hall. Please review all email communications about move-in before arriving on campus.
• When do meal plans start? Find details and hours.
• Green Move In: Read these recommendations on how to pack sustainably, reduce waste, and recycle cardboard, Styrofoam, and plastic bags through PODs on campus.
• Have you ordered your textbooks yet?
• Forgot something? Find school supplies, clothes, decor, and more at Pard to Pard, the campus thrift store.
• Purchase discounted used books: Visit the College Store’s annual book sale (11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 24-30).

Campus Resources

• Connect: The Technology Guide for Students is designed to help new and existing students get answers to some frequently asked technology questions such as connecting to the network, setting up your game console, and more.
• ITS will be staffing the Tech Lounge in Skillman Library:
  • 12-5 p.m. Thurs., Aug. 22
  • 12-5 p.m. Fri., Aug. 23
  • 12-5 p.m. Sat., Aug. 24
  • 12-7 p.m. Sun., Aug. 25
  • Drop by to get help connecting to the campus wifi, installing software, or for any other IT-related issues. Students can also get support by calling the Help Desk at 610-330-5501 or help@lafayette.edu.

• Explore Skillman Library (10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., Aug. 24, and noon to 10 p.m. Sun., Aug. 25). The first week of classes, Skillman will be open 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Regular hours start Fri., Aug. 30. Plus, celebrate the first week of classes with a welcome back breakfast! Drop by Skillman Library patio 9:30 a.m. Tues., Aug. 27, for coffee and baked goods, while supplies last!

• Need to add/drop a class? Here’s how.
• Achieve your goals: Center for the Integration of Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (CITLS) has a variety of resources to support learning and well-being.
• Stock your fridge. Find farm-fresh produce from LaFarm by visiting LaFarmstand (2:30-5:30 p.m. Fridays • grassy area across from Wawa • MORE).
• Transportation: Need supplies for your dorm room? Find the LANta bus schedules. Plus, there’s a new pickup and drop-off location for Enterprise rental cars. LCAT Schedule

Go explore Downtown Easton

• Explore! 18 places to use your Pard Dollars this year.
• Find events in Downtown Easton: Shop Easton Farmers’ Market, enjoy live music at Live at the Falls, take part in Fourth Friday fun, and explore the Karl Stirner Arts Trail.
