The Lafayette College Institutional Review Board (IRB) is responsible for ensuring that research on people conducted by Lafayette faculty, staff, and students is in compliance with federal regulations for protecting the safety of research participants. Mary Ellen Jackson (director of sponsored research, member of IRB) and Adam Biener (IRB chair) will provide an overview of the types of projects that need IRB review, as well as the IRB submission, review, approval, and oversight process. Those who are planning research projects with human participants are especially encouraged to attend this open information and Q&A session.
