Food and housing education and engagement event: Join a variety of food recovery organizations including Landis Center’s Educational Access and Equity Team, Food Recovery Network, and LAFCO to pack snack bags for the Paxinosa Elementary School. This event also provides an educational opportunity to learn more about food and housing security barriers in the Easton area.   3. South Carolina, Senegal, Palestine: Lafayette faculty discuss Ta-Nehisi Coates’ The Message: Lafayette faculty will host a discussion on author Ta-Nehisi Coates’ bestselling book, The Message. Coates is an important public intellectual in modern America. His most recent book covers his travels across three continents to explore complex themes like storytelling, religion, discrimination, race, power, and justice. Through his travels and research, he draws a throughline to connect South Carolina, Senegal, and Palestine.
