Thanksgiving Break 2024: What’s open? What’s closed? Where to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner?

Thanksgiving Break begins Wed., Nov. 27, for students, and Thurs., Nov. 28, for faculty and staff. Here’s a look at what’s open and closed during break.

Heading home

(Via plane): Uber transport is available for students traveling to/from Lehigh Valley International Airport. Find details on how to request transportation to the airport.

(Via bus): The Easton Bus Terminal connects Downtown Easton with New York City and other areas via the following bus lines:

• Greyhound (www.greyhound.com)

Staying on campus

Thanksgiving dinner options:

• President Nicole Hurd and her family invite students planning to be on campus over Thanksgiving Break to enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner at 2 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 28, at the President’s House. Registration is requested no later than Mon., Nov. 18. REGISTER • MORE
• You can reserve one or two Thanksgiving meals through Dining Services for pickup at Marquis Dining Hall (8 a.m. to noon, Wed., Nov. 27). To sign up, just register online. The form will be open Mon., Nov. 18, to Fri., Nov, 22.

Bailey Health Center

Bailey Health Center will close at 4 p.m. Tues., Nov. 26, and reopen Mon., Dec. 2. Students on campus in need of care can visit healthcenter.lafayette.edu/hours for options.

Counseling Center

The Counseling Center follows the College hours for Thanksgiving Break. The center will close early Wed., Nov. 27, and remain closed Thurs., Nov. 28, and Fri., Nov. 29.

Dining Services

All dining locations will have normal business hours Mon., Nov. 25, and Tues., Nov. 26. All dining locations will be closed Wed., Nov. 27, through Sat., Nov. 30. MORE

Lafayette College Libraries

Skillman and Kirby Library will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tues., Nov. 26, and 9 a.m. to noon Wed., Nov. 27. Skillman will reopen at 6 p.m. Sun., Dec. 1 (Kirby is closed). Skillman will be open 24-hours Sun., Dec. 1, through Mon., Dec. 16 (when it closes at 10 p.m.). Full hours can be found on the Libraries’ website.

Pard to Pard, College thrift store

The thrift store will be closed Wed., Nov. 27, and will reopen for its final hours of the semester Wed., Dec. 4.

Recreation Services

The recreation and fitness center will operate on an amended schedule Mon., Nov. 25, through Sun., Dec. 1. The center will be closed Thurs., Nov. 28 through Sat., Nov. 30. The swimming pool will be closed Tues., Nov. 26, through Sun., Dec. 1.

Residence Life

Residence halls remain open during break.

Transportation

The LCAT shuttle will not run during Thanksgiving Break. There will still be an Uber option for non-emergency transportation to a doctor/hospital.
