The Hanson Center is thrilled to launch a new semester of programming, “Can AI Generate IDEAs? Navigating the Promises and Perils of Artificial Intelligence for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access,” with Lehigh University professors Suzanne Edwards (WGSS/English) and Larry Snyder (industrial and systems engineering).

Their talk, “Algorithms and Social Justice: A Collaborative Approach to Teaching About Equity in Tech,” highlights their interdisciplinary course integrating coding with discussions on race, gender, and ethics. Learn how algorithms and AI can perpetuate inequities or drive change, and explore the rewards of interdisciplinary team-teaching for both faculty and students. Start the semester with an engaging and thought-provoking event. 4:15-5:30 p.m. Wed., Jan. 29 Kirby Hall, Room 104MORE
