In August 2024, Lafayette College and Swarthmore College merged their high-performance computing (HPC) clusters into one environment. After nearly a year of planning and hard work by teams from both institutions, this new environment, named Firebird and hosted in Lafayette’s data center, provides both institutions greater HPC capabilities and capacities. If you are interested in using the Firebird cluster to advance your research or teaching, please get in touch with the Help Desk at help@lafayette.edu to request an account or to schedule a conversation with the Firebird team. Also, consider attending HPC 101 training 12-1 p.m. Mon., Feb. 10, in Simon Center, Room 311. Lunch will be provided.
