Do you know students who are planning a summer nontraditional learning experience in need of funding? Have them apply for the Carolynn Van Dyke Prize.

Proposals should be for experiences to broaden the student’s horizons rather than those directly related to coursework, in technical or scientific subjects, or for career prep. Recipients will be selected by the quality of the proposal, its originality and value to the individual, and need for financial assistance.

The prize takes on special meaning in 2025 as the College mourns Prof. Van Dyke, who passed away Feb. 11.

The prize is made available to recipient(s) for summer engagement in nontraditional learning experiences such as domestic or foreign travel, social service work, research, internship at a nonprofit, etc.

Deadline: Mon., March 24.
