Here are some benefits of purposeful breaks from studying:

  • Helps increase concentration and improves memory
  • Revitalizes and serves as an energy boost
  • Positively impacts immune system and improves health
  • Relieves and reduces levels of stress
  • Boosts performance, creativity, and productivity

Here are some ideas for purposeful study breaks:

  • Engage in gentle stretching or go on a walk
  • Organize workspace
  • Refill reusable water bottle
  • Express your creativity: doodle, color
  • Call a friend
  • Practice deep breathing

*Even though it is tempting, remember that social media may be counterproductive when taking a break while studying.
