Gearing up for Bicentennial Kickoff and Fall Weekend!

Bicentennial Kickoff and Fall Weekend will be held Sept. 26-28.

Lafayette is turning 200, and we’re celebrating in style! The College’s Bicentennial Kickoff and Fall Weekend, Sept. 26-28, will feature tastes and entertainment of France at the La Fête Lafayette Tailgate, campus tours, presentations, exhibitions, and so much more.

Bicentennial Kickoff and Fall Weekend Highlights

• Indie pop band Fitz and the Tantrums, known for hits “HandClap,” and “Out of My League,” will perform 8 p.m. Sat., Sept. 27 on the Quad.
• Discover Facing Lafayette: Man, Image, Myth—a Bicentennial exhibit curated by Peter Godziela ’25 and Lillian Sampson ’27.  (Now through Dec. 5 • Williams Center Gallery)

Bicentennial collaborations

• Head to the College Store to snag the Abercrombie & Fitch limited edition line of Lafayette clothing.
• While you’re there, pick up your commemorative Crayola commemorative 64-pack of crayons, featuring custom colors for Lafayette’s Bicentennial.
• Faculty, staff, and students who did not get their free Bicentennial T-shirt at the Marquis de Lafayette’s birthday celebration Sept. 4 can pick it up at the College Store.
