Fall Break is quickly approaching, marking the halfway point of the semester. But before then, an array of fun events are happening on campus. Take part in an author discussion, or learn and share your thoughts about sustainability at Lafayette. Check out these activities this week.
- Sustainability Community Meeting: These monthly meetings are an opportunity to engage with faculty, staff and students interested in sustainability on campus. This year’s meetings will focus on Lafayette’s update to the Climate Action Plan, including feedback sessions, data review and the development of strategies and goals to achieve carbon neutrality. - Cycle 45 Class: Sign up to participate in a cycle class with the Rec Center. The 45-minute class is intense and fun, serving as a perfect way to burn off midterm stress. 4:45-5:30 p.m. Wed., Oct. 8 • Kirby Sports Center Room 137 • MORE
- Author Talk—Komail Aijazuddin: Join Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and the Gender and Sexuality Programs Office for a book discussion about Manboobs: A Memoir of Musicals, Visas, Hope & Cake as part of the LGBTQIA+ History Month events. Author Komail Aijazuddin, a visual artist and author from New York City, will hold a discussion open to everyone surrounding selected passages from the book. 5-7 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 9 • RISC 362 • MORE
- Movie Night: Attend a movie screening on the Quad sponsored by the Student Government Equity and Inclusion Committee. In celebration of Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, the film McFarland USA will be shown. 8:30 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 9 • Quad • MORE
- Football vs. Bucknell: If you are staying on campus for Fall Break, attend the Lafayette football game. Cheer on the Leopards while they play against the Bucknell Bison. 12:30-3:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 11 • Fisher Stadium • MORE
