A pioneering researcher and national leader in inclusive STEM education, Dasgupta is the provost professor of psychology and founding director of the Institute of Diversity Sciences at UMass Amherst. Her talk, inspired by her new Yale University Press book Change the Wallpaper: Transforming Cultural Patterns to Build More Just Communities, explores how everyday “situational forces” shape inclusion and equity—and how the cultural wallpaper can be changed to build more just and welcoming communities. All are welcome. 4:15-5:30 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 16Kirby Hall of Civil Rights, Room 104MORE
