The Lafayette College Libraries will welcome award-winning author Moiya McTier to campus as the 2026 Hatfield Lecturer on Wed., Feb. 18, 2026.

McTier is an astrophysicist, folklorist, and science communicator based in New York City. She co-hosts Fate & Fabled, a mythology show for PBS Digital studios, as well as her own podcasts, Exolore and Pale Blue Pod. McTier’s debut book, THE MILKY WAY: An Autobiography of Our Galaxy, was released in 2022 to critical acclaim and was named one of Publishers Weekly’s best books of 2022.

Additional information on the lecture will follow in the spring. The Hatfield Lecture series is funded by a generous gift from John L. Hatfield ’67.
