The Office of Intercultural Development (OID) will coordinate keynote speakers, events, and resources to build awareness around the following heritage and history months for spring 2026.

  • Black History Month: Feb. 1-28 (Please share events by Jan. 16.)
  • Women’s History Month: March 1-31 (Please share events by Feb. 16.)
  • Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month: April 1-30* (Please share events by March 16.)

Would your class, department, or club like to plan an event in celebration of one of these months?

Planning ahead will ensure your event can be included as part of the month’s coverage and promoted through the College’s channels. Prior to the start of each heritage month, there will be a call for events in Lafayette Today.

Promote your event:

  • Once you’ve reserved your space, add your event(s) to calendar.lafayette.edu. Then share the calendar URL for the event with intercultural@lafayette.edu.
  • OID will compile a list of events across campus for each heritage month and share that list with the campus community through Lafayette Today. Example
  • Have an idea for an event but want to discuss? Email intercultural@lafayette.edu.

*Please note that while Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month runs May 1-31, campus events will be held in April while students are on campus.
