Everyone struggles with confidence at times in their life, and it can be difficult to move through the world feeling inadequate or unsure of oneself. The Cultivating Confidence group run by the Counseling Center is designed to help students reduce self-critical thoughts, develop a more positive sense of self, and support peers as they work toward a deeper understanding of their intrinsic value. The group offers a supportive environment to discuss issues related to self-esteem and provides strategies for coping with feelings of inadequacy. It is a compassionate and encouraging space with plenty of room for humor, conversation, and social bonding. The group will be facilitated by Devin Hussong, staff psychologist, at a day/time based upon students’ availability. Request more information.
