Register now to attend the Feb. 24 Lunch and Learn: Bringing an Original Play to Life: Kimberly Sykes, director, and Russell Arden Koplin, producer, on The Language of Sight. This presentation is the second of two lunch-and-learns scheduled for February in honor of Black History Month.
In advance of the production, The Language of Sight director, Kim Sykes, and co-producer, Russell Arden Koplin, will discuss the creation of this original play. The play uses letters and materials from the Lafayette College archives to provide a dramatic account of the life of Dr. David McDonogh, a formerly enslaved individual who attended the College and became its first Black graduate, and ultimately the first Black eye doctor in the U.S.
