Concurrent with the Zoom Phone project, we are transitioning our campus faxing infrastructure. Physical fax machines are being replaced with a secure, streamlined electronic fax (e-fax) service.
Every faculty and staff member with a dedicated Zoom extension can now send and receive faxes directly through their line, managing documents within the Zoom application on their computer or mobile device. This eliminates shared physical machines and ensures private delivery to your account.
A limited number of physical fax machines will remain for departments with compliance requirements. As the Zoom Phone rollout continues, ITS will begin physically disconnecting departmental fax lines in copiers and other hardware. For questions about your area, please email zoomphone@lafayette.edu.
