The Hanson Center for Inclusive STEM Education is partnering with LVAIC to offer a course design workshop on Jan. 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., “Universal Design (UDL) for Inclusion,” facilitated by Prof. Farah Vallera of Lehigh.
UDL is a framework used to guide the design and development of learning materials and environments flexible enough to support individual learners through differentiation, personalization, and thoughtful planning. Learn how to develop flexible, compliant online, hybrid, and face-to-face materials and environments that accommodate diverse learners’ needs and differences. Focus on cognitive science, learning theory, and instructional/learning design while developing activities. In this workshop, we consider and explore the following questions: 1) What is UDL?, 2) What is ADA?, and 3) How do we design with inclusion in mind? Register.
