Unsung hero: health professions advising

The extraordinary team in health professions advising—Simona Glaus, Prof. Nancy Waters, and Chelsea Emerick—epitomize the caring, hard work, and dedication for which Lafayette is known. Guiding current students and alumni who are pursuing medical, dental, optometry, or veterinary school, HPA team members engage in countless one-on-one advising meetings and constantly have their finger on the pulse of the current and future landscape of health care professions. They implement superb programming by working closely with faculty, alumni, and Gateway Career Center. The team’s expertise and steadfast support of students help create a personalized, holistic approach, and its efforts have helped start the careers of many Pards whose work has had a direct impact on people’s lives and our society.
