The Counseling Center in partnership with LaFarm will host the third annual Thrive event on Thursday from 11-2 to kick off the 2021-22 academic year on the Quad (rain location: Farinon atrium).
Students will have the opportunity to learn practical strategies to foster personal growth and cultivate a positive college experience. Different stations will focus on gratitude, mindfulness, self-compassion, growth mindset, connection, digital detox, sleep, and exercise. At these stations, there will be a variety of interactive activities, including writing messages of hope and kindness for other Lafayette students, painting rocks, creating soothing stones, and spinning a trivia wheel for prizes. There will be raffles for gratitude journals and more. Once students complete several stations, they will have the opportunity to take their own plant and nurture it at home.
All students are encouraged to stop by and get to know the Counseling Center and LaFarm staff, learn more about self-care and emotional wellbeing, and connect with other Lafayette students.
