Dear Students,
Homecoming at Lafayette dates back to 1940. Homecoming provides an opportunity for alumni and friends of Lafayette to return to the College, to interact with all of you, and for all Leopards, current and former, to collectively cheer on our athletic teams. Speaking of which, we have some home games this weekend. Let’s cheer on women’s volleyball on Friday; field hockey, men’s soccer, women’s volleyball, and football on Saturday; and field hockey on Sunday.
Information about weekend activities may be found on the Homecoming website. Of course, Friday is also an important milestone for Lafayette as it is President Hurd’s inauguration as our 18th Lafayette College president.
There are many reasons to join in the excitement for the weekend. Remember that this is a time for alumni to recall joyous occasions from years past and for current students to reflect on how you will all make your time with the College similarly meaningful. Everyone is entitled to the opportunity to enjoy a memorable, positive, and safe weekend. Please remember to drink responsibly. Should you encounter a student who needs medical assistance, remember that the College has a Good Samaritan Policy for students who call for help and those students who are helped by responders. Public Safety’s emergency number is (610) 330-4444.
I look forward to celebrating both the inauguration and Homecoming with you.
Go Leopards!
