Six years ago, Lafayette College and Delta Upsilon unfortunately lost brother Joey Towers ‘18 in a battle with mental health. Ever since, the brothers of Delta Upsilon have dedicated their philanthropy initiative to men’s mental health. DU has started a day in Joey’s honor to raise money for men’s mental health by biking, which was one of his favorite activities.
On April 23, two days after his birthday, from 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. the brothers of DU and other members of the Lafayette community will be in the gym pedaling for Joey. The money raised will be going to Movember, which has funded over 1250 men’s mental health projects across the world.
Help in the fight to improve men’s mental health. You can either pledge a donation for every mile biked or give a flat donation. The hope is that this year’s bike-a-thon will not only help fund Movember’s efforts to improve men’s mental health, but also raise awareness and spark conversation.
10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sun., April 23 • AK SRC 145/Racquetball Court #4 • MORE
