Lafayette Allies for Gender Equity (LAGE) is one of the reading groups supported by the Hanson Center. LAGE is a learning community for male and nonbinary members of the faculty seeking to build capacity as allies and advocates for gender equity.
Since its initial meeting in fall 2017, each year’s group is made up of new members, intentionally welcoming individuals who have not previously been involved. A given year’s membership of seven to nine new attendees meets about once a month at lunchtime to discuss readings and explore allyship.
