Join Taylor “Tay” Rogers for a screening of her short film NOA: A Music Film and a conversation with Amy Marvin, Louise M. Olmsted Fellow in Ethics, about her philosophical film and music work. NOA: A Music Film is a companion piece to the contemporary folk album NOA, and is a highly collaborative project that includes movement, philosophy, poetry, music, and improvisation. The film weaves together nine tracks off the album, forming a nonlinear story about how grief and losses can be embraced for inner and outer transformation. This event is sponsored by the Louise M. Olmsted Fund for Ethics and the Philosophy Department. 7 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 26 • Skillman Library, Gendebien Room (Room 206) • MORE
