Each summer, Facilities Operations schedules a main campus power shutdown to complete maintenance on the College’s electrical distribution system. An electrical maintenance outage is planned for 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sat., July 19 (rain date Sun., July 20). At this time, the electricity to all main campus buildings will be turned off. Local building generators will remain on in certain buildings to maintain vivariums and other research-related projects. Preventative maintenance and repairs will be completed at the electrical substation and in some campus buildings. After the maintenance is completed, power will be restored to all buildings.
