There will be a main campus power shutdown Sat., July 19 (rain date: Sun., July 20) to complete maintenance on our electrical distribution system.
The planned shutdown will last approximately eight hours (from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.).
The plan is as follows:
- The electricity to all main campus buildings will be turned off.
- Local building generators will remain on in certain buildings to maintain vivariums and other research-related projects.
- Preventative maintenance and repairs will be completed at the electrical substation and in some campus buildings.
- After the maintenance is completed, power will be restored to all buildings.
