Oct. 7 marks the first full day of Sukkot, an agricultural holiday commemorating the journey of the Jewish people after the Exodus. During the week of observance, people are invited into a small structure called a “sukkah” (a sort of open-roofed tent) to eat and celebrate in community. This year, the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life is excited to have the sukkah next to Farinon, and the Lafayette community is welcome to come and learn more.

An opportunity for reflection and remembrance related to the events of Oct. 7, 2023, will take place Oct. 16, when the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley will host a memorial and photo exhibition.

The Office of Religious and Spiritual Life is here to support everyone in the Lafayette community! Please contact Rabbi Alex Malanych or Chaplain Alex Hendrickson at any time.
