The Village on College Hill presents the Easton premiere of Aurora’s Sunrise. This inspirational, mostly animated, documentary is about a young woman, Aurora Mardiganian, who, through bravery, skill, and luck, survived the Armenian genocide (1915-1917) and went on to perform her own story in a major Hollywood film. The film will be introduced by Rachel Goshgarian, professor of history, who will also lead an optional discussion after the film. The film is in Armenian with English subtitles. Free and open to the public. 7–10 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 9 • Kirby Hall of Civil Rights, Room 104 • MORE
