Writing can be a helpful tool to assist in processing or understanding difficult experiences and how they are currently impacting you. But where do you start, and how do you do it? The Counseling Center is here to help. An Expressive Writing Workshop will be hosted this semester for students who have experienced trauma. This series of meetings will be a chance for individuals to write and reflect on their experiences through guided prompts. Participants will also have an opportunity to learn and practice a variety of coping skills throughout the group in addition to journaling. Fallyn Lee, staff psychologist and prevention coordinator, will be facilitating this group, and the start date and time is to be determined upon students’ availability. Request more information.
