Lafayette’s Reserve Officer Training Corp. (ROTC) program is affiliated with the Lehigh Valley Steel Battalion and recently established Charlie Company on campus. Since 2019, the number of ROTC cadets on campus has increased from four to 15, which led to Lafayette establishing the Gold Bar Ambassadors to help yield prospective cadets. The recent Order of Merit List (OML) for ranking Army ROTC cadets nationally based on academics, fitness (APFT), and military performance has two Lafayette cadets who have placed in the top 10 out of 5,536 (Nos. 3 and 4).
