Are you ready to make plans for spring and summer after the cold winter? The College is pleased to announce the holiday schedule for the 2026-27 academic year.
The College is shifting the way it manages floating holidays, moving from two days to three. Floating holidays may be used for an observance of religious holidays (e.g., Good Friday, Passover, Rosh Hashanah, Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, etc.), federal or civic holidays (e.g., Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Veterans Day, etc.), or as an employee may need. The previous calendar required a scheduled day off on either Presidents Day or Martin Luther King Jr. Day, plus two floating holidays. The move to three floating holidays allows greater flexibility so employees can take time off (with supervisor approval) on the days that align with their personal, cultural, and/or religious preferences.
As a continued expression of the College’s appreciation for the extraordinary commitment our community has consistently demonstrated, the 2026-27 holiday schedule includes four (4) additional winter recess days, including Wed., Dec. 23, 2026, to allow for a continuous winter recess from Wed., Dec. 23, 2026, through Fri., Jan. 1, 2027. The College will resume regular hours Mon., Jan. 4, 2027.
These additional days will allow you to plan and enjoy extra time to relax and rejuvenate with family and friends.
