The break between fall and spring semesters can be long; however, Gateway Career Center offers a program to all students to help with networking and possible career path interests. Each year, Career Tracks connects current students with professionals in specific career paths. Participants spend a day or two, in person or virtually, to get a behind-the-scenes look at careers and build connections with alumni, parents, and friends of Lafayette.

Over the January winter break, students have an opportunity to participate in a career-exploration program that provides insight about professional life across different career fields, according to gateway.lafayette.edu. These experiences give students a valuable behind-the-scenes look at specific industries in targeted locations to help them better understand the opportunities available there.

The application opens at 12 p.m. Mon., Oct. 26. Applications close at 12 p.m. Mon., Nov. 16.

The program includes specific tracks for various career interests, such as a focus in jobs for the Arts and Humanities; Life, Health, and Natural Sciences; and Finance; along with many others.

For each program, students are required to submit an application to be considered. Find information about the Career Tracks program on Career Resource Central. Jan. 2027 Career Tracks program information will be available on Mon., Oct. 26.
