Alumnus Michael Bennett ‘17 returns to campus to present “The More Things Change: 160 Years of Lafayette Engineering” as part of Lafayette’s Bicentennial celebrations. Bennett bridged two fields at Lafayette, earning degrees in civil engineering and history. While here, he acted in plays, sang in the Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, served as Tau Beta Pi president and Engineers Without Borders treasurer, and researched transportation sustainability rating systems with Prof. Sanford. After six years in geotechnical practice designing major infrastructure, he is now pursuing a Ph.D. at Virginia Tech, researching soil deformation under temporary roadways for disaster relief and military use. 7:30-8:30 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 17 (reception preceding)Oechsle Hall, Room 224MORE
