CITLS and the College Writing Program are partnering to offer several workshops this term to help faculty anticipate, navigate, and reflect on “HOT” (heated, offensive, or tense) moments in the classroom. Over the course of the series, discuss real-world scenarios and practice strategies to help students (and each other) engage and disagree with respect, pause and reflect when emotions run high, and transition back to learning after stressful interactions.
